וַיַּ֣עַל יוֹנָתָ֗ן עַל־יָדָיו֙ וְעַל־רַגְלָ֔יו וְנֹשֵׂ֥א כֵלָ֖יו אַחֲרָ֑יו וַֽיִּפְּלוּ֙ לִפְנֵ֣י יוֹנָתָ֔ן וְנֹשֵׂ֥א כֵלָ֖יו מְמוֹתֵ֥ת אַחֲרָֽיו׃
E Jonathan si arrampicò sulle sue mani e sui suoi piedi, e la sua armatura lo seguì; e caddero davanti a Jonathan; e il suo portatore d'armatura li uccise dietro di lui.
Rashi on I Samuel
On his hands and feet. I.e., with all his might and running.5 Rashi explains עַל יָדָיו וֽעַל רַגְלָיו as an idiomatic expression; but Radak explains it literally, that they had to use their hands and feet to climb because it was a very steep and slippery crag.
